Instead of training on your own, you have the option of going to a sports club. Keep in mind that you have to sign a membership contract in order to join a sports club.

Before signing up for a sports club membership, make sure you understand what the conditions are for terminating the contract in case you no longer want to train at that particular club.

By purchasing a one-day training card, a monthly pass or a card for a longer time period, you have essentially entered into a fixed term contract with the sports club. It is not possible to effect standard termination of a fixed-term contract at any time, it will be terminated when the set term ends.

It is also possible to train at a sports club for an indefinite period by paying the membership free monthly with a direct debit.

You can effect standard termination of an open-ended contract at any time, on the condition that it is done with prior notification. For example, if you want to terminate a contract on July 1 and the contract states that the prior notification time is 45 days, you should submit your application to the sports club by May 16 at the latest.

Emergency withdrawal is possible for contract termination only in exceptional circumstances, for which you have to provide evidence. In that case, the other contracting Party also has the right to ask for a reasonable compensation for the expenses they have incurred.
