Notice of economic activities

In addition to the general information regarding the travel company’s economic activities, the notice of economic activities includes the following information:

  • regarding areas of activity;
    According to § 6 of the Tourism Act, travel companies are classified on the basis of areas of activity as follows:
    1) the organisation of packages containing travel arrangements provided within Estonia;
    2) the organisation of packages containing travel arrangements and a charter flight provided outside Estonia;
    3) the organisation of packages containing travel arrangements and a scheduled flight provided outside Estonia;
    4) the organisation of packages containing travel arrangements, except for charter flights or a scheduled flights, provided outside Estonia;
    5) the mediation of packages prepared by a travel company established outside the European Economic Area;
    6) the provision of linked travel arrangements and the facilitation of the conclusion of contracts.
  • regarding security and the provider thereof;
    Clause 151 (7) of the Tourism Act stipulates that the travel company shall choose one or both of the following types of securities:
    1) guarantee;
    2) insurance.

Clause 151 (8) of the Tourism Act stipulates that the provider of security may be an insurance undertaking, a credit institution or a financial institution located in a Member State of the European Economic Area.
  • regarding travel companies who have obtained the right to sell packages.
